I got the fever.
Cabin fever that is. (I bet you thought I was going to say baby fever, didn't you Allison?)
Well I just think this stinks. I'm sick of this dreary, never ending winter blah. And the worst part about feeling like this, is it makes me want to bake. Seriously, my fat intake on these miserable winter days is going to kill me, no kidding. :D
Okay, moving on.
So today I made these super yummy S'more cupcakes. A chocolate cake, with marshmallow frosting, graham crumbs sprinkled on top and chocolate chips. (If I had Hershey's chocolate squares, I would of preferred to use a big, fat chunk of it on top)
Let me tell you a couple of things about these cupcakes...
#1. Shortly after consuming just one of these little pint sized wonders, I went into diabetic shock. I'm not kidding, the frosting is SO sweet, I think I got 2 cavities just licking my fingers.
#2. Those super cute adorable paper wrappers that all the top cupcake bakers are using are a pain in the butt!! Seriously. They do not release the cupcake as quickly as I can eat them. Each one is about 5 minutes to get out of the stupid wrapper. In the end we gave up and ate them with a fork. Lesson learned.
#3. Just because they are cupcakes and small and adorable, does not give you permission to eat a hundred of them right before supper. (cough, coughdarrencough)
Moving on...
Today the kids did puppet shows for us... all day. We video taped them all and then watched them right away on the TV. (Gotta love modern technology.) The kids absolutely loved watching themselves.
Until the camera battery died.
Which I pretended to be upset about, but inside I was gleefully rubbing my hands together, thankful that I wouldn't have to sit through another puppet show. Oh, I'm such a mean Mommy.
I would share one of the puppet show videos with you, but Darren is at a meeting tonight, and he's the only one that knows how to upload movies to the computer. Maybe tomorrow. I also got some adorable video of Lily making "donuts". I gave her a lump of dough from making bread buns yesterday. She was thrilled to death with that tiny little piece and rolled it around on the counter forever.
And then she put it in her mouth.
It was gross.
Then I smiled and took some pictures.
Again, I will share some video with you tomorrow, when Darren can help me, and I promise to pay close attention to what he's doing, so next time, I don't need his help. :D XOXO!

Your photos are just to die for! Love it!

Dee-lish. Atleast they look that way. I wish I had a talent for baking. Well first off, the desire to bake would help. I like to do the eating, just not the working. sigh. With this dillema you would think I would be skinnier.

Those look so so so extremely good... I'm really hating the fact that graham crackers do not exist in Australia... care to send me a box? I miss smores!!!

LOL! Gotta love those handy husbands who know how to do that sort of thing. I guess I need to pay attention more as well.
I had to laugh when you said that the cupcakes were hard to get out of the little papers cups, cause I was just thinking at that very moment "Hey those are the cutest little cupcake cups ever! I need to ask Amy if they are the sacrament cups you can order through your unit on-line." Oh, well. Good to know they aren't a good choice to use. Let me know if there is a better choice, cause those cupcakes are just the CUTEST thing ever! Man I can just taste them now. Heavenly. Who needs supper? Cupcakes will do.
Lily is so adorable! She is loving the dough thing. Awww....to be a child again.
