Haha! Just read through the comments of this, and I just find all of this hilarious!! The funniest part... we don't even have food stamps in Canada. :) Hope your day gets better Rebecca Dudek. Congrats on the new baby. ♥

Kate

"And I was just kidding about the food stamp thing. I tried to use them, but they wouldn’t take them at Buy Buy Baby. Weird. ;) "

She said she was kidding, Rebecca Dudek. I think you should read and understand better, before you start mouthing off.

I think an apology is due here.

Rebecca Dudek

I WAS REALLY ENJOYING ALL THE INFORMATION ON HERE ABOUT WHAT TO PACK FOR THE HOSPITAL SINCE MY DUE DATE IS LESS THAN A WEEK AWAY. I STUMBLED UPON THE NEW DIAPER BAG WHICH IS VERY CUTE, I GUESS. YOU REALLY SAVED YOUR FOOD STAMPS TO PURCHASE IT? SEEMS WRONG TO HAVE 5 CHILDREN, DEPEND ON FOOD STAMPS TO FEED THEM BUT THEN USE THE FOOD STAMPS FOR A F'ING DIAPER BAG.

I CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW STUPID I THINK YOU ARE.

Michelle

very saddened to read of your GD, no fun. But boy-oh-boy does your little man have some great clothes! I've never felt shopping for boys was much fun but I could be swayed after this post. I must admit, I don't really understand that pacifier (we call them dummies in Aus) and it's such a foreign concept to me that you can't use a US carseat in Canada :-/ You'd hope they all have to pass stringent safety requirements.

You are amazing!! I would not appreciate the needles either!! I think the no-chocolate thing would be even worse but you are handling it so well:) I personally wasn't bored at all during the clothes pictures, I think I was just as excited as you were about them (I have a baby/kids clothes "problem":). I have a friend who gives me a discount at Gymboree (I couldn't help but notice you had several items from there)and since we live fairly close to one another, feel free to let me know if you want to use it. You are totally welcome to. I really mean it!! I hope you are feeling well and that everything goes smoothly from now on.

I totally sympathize with you. I had GD with my son and it was so hard to eat the restricted diet and not lose weight (losing weight while pregnant is not good). I'm also a chocoholic, so I have a few tips for you. Edy's makes a sugar free chocolate brownie ice cream that is only 15 carbs for 1 scoop. That counted as my post-dinner snack. It isn't half-bad either considering there is not sugar in it. The other thing I did often was make my own hot chocolate by warming up milk in the microwave and then whisking in 2 Tbsp good natural cocoa powder (I used Penzey's) and some splenda. This was my before bed snack that helped me from having ketones in my urine in the morning. Good luck! The best news is that once the baby is born your GD will most likely go away. Mine did and I am so thankful for that!

I can't believe you are only 4 or 5 weeks away already! WOW~ But I Am sure you feel it's much longer when having to give yourself injections. I can totally relate to that torture. I had the same thing with baby number 5. I did all of that too. But then get this......after a month or two of doing that.......I got a letter from the lab saying it was all a mistake. I didn't have GD at all. Gah!!!!!!!! I wanted to cry. And I think I did too. The doctor said that she didn't believe the letter and wanted to keep doing what we were doing since I had a history of LARGE babies. But I demanded a re-test. Thank goodness. It came back negative. I did not have it. I just have large babies. 9 pounders.

Anyway.....enough about me. Just know that I TOTALLY sympathize with the self injection thing. NOT FUN!!!!

Well... I WAS planning on sending you some baby clothes, but it doesn't look like you have much space left in the closet :) That's some seriously cute stuff! It almost makes me want to have another baby ;)

Mom

Phew.....you must have been up all night posting this blog - but we have enjoyed trailing our computer fingers through the new baby's wardrobe and have voted it #1. Move over all those royal babies.....see if your wardrobe can beat ours!!!
Yuk to the injections - I'm with you there and I would have to force someone else to do it for me!!! Thanks goodness it is only temporary...(we hope!!)>>>LOL

Hey Mama - what a trooper you are. I can't imagine being forced do something I hate multiple times a day. Blurgh! I vote Baby ? the best dressed yet. Here's to some restful weeks before his arrival.
