Do you know what happens when you used to own a scrapbook store...
you accumulate. A lot.
Most of these said scrapbooking items prove to be useless and will never find their way onto the pages of my albums and there is no way I could ever use all the scrapbook supplies I own.
And so, when you're looking through 1 of the 8 laundry tubs of scrapbooking supplies you packed and moved across the country (because you absolutely had to take all of it) and you find a huge unopened package of giant chipboard shapes.
Lets just say, I don't know why I felt the need to keep them. I will never use a giant easter egg on any of my scrapbook pages or a butterfly or flower for that matter. (they're about 10x7 inches)
So we did this instead.
And guess what... I was okay with it.
Their fun outweighed my hoarding scrapbook supply disease.
(I know, you've got it too don't you)
I even, wait for it....
hung them up on my wall!!
(this is a big step for me... nobody gets to hang anything up unless I approve, I'm kinda crazy that way)
I think I finally came to the conclusion that, it doesn't matter. I don't have to have the nicest house on the street with the best decor and furniture. All I care about it raising well adjusted, polite children that will one day contribute to society, and if hanging odd looking, mismatched easter eggs on my walls does that, well then, sign me up.
(excuse her backward shirt, she dressed herself today for tokens... more on that later)
While I was standing there taking these pictures, I swung my front door open and took a picture of my Easter door decor. (whew, say that 10 times fast... easter door decor...)
So, my Mom and Dad will be here in 4 days! Yippee!
I'm saving the messiest crafts and projects for "grandparents are babysitting all day while Mommy goes out and does whatever she wants, kid free! "
Okay, that's not really a day, but I've got to take advantage while they're here. I wouldn't want to deprive them of finger painting and sugar cookie decorating now would I?
<smiles>
Awwww.......you are the best mom ever! Look at the smiles on those kids faces, for being allowed to hang their art work for ALL to see.
BTW....Love your Easter Door Decor. It sure is easier to type than say aloud for sure.
