Sorry, I'm off to a late start today, I had a friend stop by and visit me with her cute little guy, and the day just seemed to get away from me.
Anyways, I've got 3 different kinds of Halloween cupcakes to share with you today (of course I had to do cupcakes) Just bake up a tray and go crazy decorating them in different ways. Here's a couple to get you started.
All I did for this is tinted the frosting yellow, and printed some bats off the Internet.
Then I took toothpicks and cracked them so they broke close to the edge. Use a glue-dot to stick them to the back of the paper bats and poked them in the cake.
(this cupcake is sitting on it's side. Just don't crack the toothpicks if you want it to stand upright)
Next up... what would Halloween be without pumpkins.
I made a bunch of these for Ava's Sparks group for their Halloween party. Really simple. Tinted the frosting orange and dipped them in orange colored sugar. I used a thin stick to make the indentations along the pumpkin. The stem is a lime flavored tootsie roll.
A marshmallow skeleton hand cupcake. This is so easy. Just take marshmallows and toothpicks and poke them into fingers. The base of this one is just buttercream frosting, dipped in crushed cookies crumbs for dirt.
Sorry there isn't much explanation with this post... my kids are dancing around my feet, begging me for supper. Until tomorrow! Cheers!
Um can I come over and eat?

Okay. Obviously I need to get out more. Colored sugar? IS there a way to color it? OR do you do that yourself??
